DO XUAN DOAN

Sinh năm 1937 tại Hà Nội /Born at 1937 in Ha Noi.

Tốt nghiệp Đại học Mỹ thuật Hà Nội năm 1961. Ông là học trò của Nguyễn Gia Trí - bậc thầy về hội họa Việt Nam thế kỷ 19 / Graduated from Ha Noi Fine Arts University in 1961. He was a student of Nguyen Gia Tri – the Master of Vietnamese Paintings at 19th century.

Khi được hỏi về nguồn cảm hứng của mình, Đỗ Xuân Đoàn thú nhận rằng nó xuất phát từ trái tim và tâm hồn của mình. Họa sĩ Xuân Doãn từng tâm sự: Hội họa là niềm đam mê lớn nhất của tôi và là phương châm sống của tôi với vạn vật của thiên nhiên, đặc biệt là cuộc sống thường ngày với những ngôi nhà cổ kính, những con phố cổ và những con người bình dị

When asked about his source of inspiration, Do Xuan Doan confesses that it comes from his heart and soul. Xuan Doan once said :” Painting is my greatest passion and my motto to live by all thing in nature, especially daily life with ancient houses, old streets and common people. The use of vibrant colors and both brushstrokes make each of Xuan Doan’s canvases come alive with a shimmering life of its own.
